Whether making artisanal cheese or apple cider for local consumption, designing the next variation of Greek yogurt for national distribution, or planning a new product for global expansion, new product testing and development are risky but important business investments.

CIFS-IPP can help defray some of those costs by providing its members with discounted access to Cornell University’s state-of-the-art, fully licensed facilities and advanced equipment. Cornell’s processing plants are run by professional staff who are happy to help our members meet their goals with their over 100 years of combined industry experience.

CIFS-IPP members have access to several facilities for development and feasibility evaluations:

  • 10,000 sq ft Pilot Plant for Fruits and Vegetables
  • 13,000 sq ft Dairy Processing Plant
  • 8,500 sq ft Food Processing Pilot Plant with state-of-the-art equipment
  • New product development laboratory (commercial kitchen)
